Don't get me wrong, I really like my life but I simply don't have the time or the energy to be fabulous. Tonight, for example; I came in from the gym, ate my dinner (steak sandwich-delicious), put my gym stuff in the wash, paired some socks, and am now just waiting patiently in my pj's for Masterchef to start. The most exciting part of my evening was probably laying out my outfit for work tomorrow, or listening to my dad curse after he dropped his dinner and the dog got it.
I see so many bloggers post insanely beautiful pictures day after day; they go wonderful and exciting places and they always look incredible. I go to Livingston (arse end of nowhere) and sometimes Starbucks or Nandos. My hair is rarely shiny or immaculate and my wardrobe is shady, at best. But I'm only 24, I've still got a whole lifetime to try to be fabulous!
Something to strive for-Olivia Palermo is definitely FABULOUS |
I could have written this post myself! Also 24 and also imagined myself infinitely more glamorous at this age. In fact, I'm even worse than you as I came in from work, ordered pizza, put on a washing, got into pj's. So I'm not only un-fabulous, I am also a total fatty, lolz.
ReplyDeletePizza makes everything better! Xx

ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean! I wrote about it recently - I think style bloggers mostly edit their lives very cleverly online to make it seem like they're always beautifully dressed and fabulous, but I really I bet they're eating ice cream under a star wars blanket while wearing a scarf. Just like I'm not. Ahem.
ReplyDeleteI live in hope.
DeleteLove this! I feel like you have just accumulate every one of my current thoughts and created this post...excluding the gym visit...I came home, got a duvet and watched TV....to tired and too cold to do anything Ha!

Just stumbled across your blog as a result of Twitter. I whole heartedly empathise! I had visions of grandeur for my 26 year old self until I realised 26 was actuall still young and I should stop planning my life away. I try to blog about it. Confessionsfromundertheduvet.blogspot.com
